St Patrick's Day

Hello Everyone!  It's been awhile since my last post.  I know it is the day after St Patrick's Day but I just wanted to share this cute wood kit that I painted up for the holiday.  I bought it at a local store and while doing so I thought "I can design this stuff".  I have so many, many designs I have created and have done nothing with them.  Well, that is about to change!  Starting now, before Easter, as in next week I am going to take one of my darling Easter designs that I have drawn and make it into an Easter Wood Kit.  So, that is official!  I have made this commitment.  Be sure to check back next week when it is up on the blog and ready for you to order.  Until then, here is this adorable St Patrick's Day kit.  Top of the Morning to You!

Valentines Day Sale

I started my Etsy shop a few months ago (https://etsy.com/shop/Indigidesign).  Well, officially a few years ago.  What I should say is that I seriously started my shop a few months ago.  I love creating things with my hands and I love to use my imagination to create unique one of  a kind art.

I have much planned for my Etsy shop in the coming years.  I have loved to draw since I was very young.  I have many whimsical drawings that I want to share with the world.  These will be offered as digital stamps, cards, in digital scrapbook kits.  I also have digital artwork that I have created for digital downloads.  They will also be available in the near future.

To kick off my new shop and seeing that Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I am offering a sale on ALL my Etsy shop items!  In order to receive this 25% off discount you must simply FOLLOW this page.  That's it!  Become a fan and help an artist make her dreams come true!
When you go to order just mention that you are following my blog.

Hurry to order because these items are one of a kind.  I don't mass produce.  It's just me peeps!  You still have time before Valentine's Day.  I can get any item shipped out to you this week in time for the Big Heart Day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Tissue Paper Rosettes

I love playing with paper!  I can admit that I am a paper collector.  I love all kinds of paper and love having it "in stock" in my craft supplies.  I love making homemade cards.  They are so much more fun to give than the ones found in the store.  I do have a few in my Etsy store right now and plan on making many more.  That's why I chose this tutorial.  I wanted to learn how to make these to use on some homemade cards.

Thanks to Tjasa at Sprinkle of Cinnamon for this great tutorial!  You can go to her blog at: http://www.sprinkleofcinnamon.com/

Enjoy your day!

Tissue paper rosettes

Decorate your party space with cute, easy and cheap to make tissue paper rosettes. You can make them in any size or color to match with the rest of your party decorations.

You will need:

– tissue paper
– scissors
– glue
– staple

Follow this easy steps to make DIY tissue paper rosettes :

1. Choose any color of tissue paper you like. You can use different colors and sizes.

2. Cut each paper into a square and fold into a fan. You will need two squares of the same size for each rosette.

3. Fold each fan in half and staple or saw the fold to keep it from falling apart. Cut the ends in half circle to create a scallop edge.

4. Carefully glue both fans together with sides facing each other and form a full circle.

FREE DOWNLOAD ART

Image of Song of Solomon 3:4 - FREE

I recently had surgery on my shoulder and have neglected my blog.  Now that I am fully recovered I am ready to keep up to date with my craft blog and my photography blog.  I have many things in store for those who follow and those who just stop by for a visit.  Check back next week to see
what I have been up to!

Today I decided to share one of my favorite blogs with you. Dear Lillie always has such unique and fun things.  I discovered that they have some free downloads that you might be interested in.  My youngest daughter is getting married in September so when I saw this quote it made me think of her.  My every day thought is now on the upcoming wedding and I am excited to share photos with you next week on my photography blog.

If you copy and paste the link below it will take you to their blog.  Once you are on the blog, click on shop and it will take you to their menu.  On the left side scroll down to the Free Downloads and you will find this fun free download as well as others.

DIY Button and Felt Bouquet

I have always wanted to make one of these.  I think they are so pretty!  Thanks to Craftedblog.com for sharing the instructions for making one of these.  Here is the link to the full tutorial:

 http://www.craftedblog.com/2013/09/diy-button-and-felt-bouquet.html

Instead of making this as a bouquet, I thought it would be fun to make a few smaller ones for you home without the stem in a color that matches your home decor.

Happy Crafting!
